The son of Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Parliamentarian Jagath Withana has been arrested by officers of the Panadura-Walana Anti-Corruption Unit.
The arrest took place in the Mathugama area in connection with a vehicle allegedly in his possession that was reportedly assembled or imported illegally.
Police said investigations are underway regarding the suspected illegal assembly or retention of the vehicle.
Further legal proceedings are expected following inquiries. (Newswire)
