Four employees of a non-governmental organization involved in landmine clearance in Mankulam, Mullaitivu, were seriously injured following a landmine explosion.
The NGO has been working to remove landmines buried in the area during the civil war by the LTTE, according to the Lankadeepa newspaper.
The injured workers were initially admitted to the Mankulam Base Hospital before being transferred to the Kilinochchi District General Hospital for further treatment. (Newswire)
