Sansul Sehansha Lakmal, an 11-year-old boy has set a world record creating a massive portrait of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake measuring 91 inches in height and 68 inches in width, using 1,200 Rubik’s Cubes.
He accomplished this feat in 3 hours, 13 minutes, and 7 seconds, earning a place in the Cholan World Records.
The event was jointly organized by the Cholan Book of World Records and the Peoples Helping People Foundation yesterday.
It was held at the Ranaviru Apparel Swimming Pool Complex in Yakkala, in the presence of Brigadier Maha Duvakkar, the commanding officer of the camp, and Brigadier Vasage, the deputy commanding officer.
The Cholan World Records’ General Secretary, Indranath Perera, vice- president Sri Nagavani Raja, Director of STEPS and President for European Countries of the Cholan Book of World Records Francis Jesudasan, along with the Director of Peoples Helping People Foundation and an executive committee member of the Cholan Book of World Records, formally monitored the boy’s record attempt.
In recognition of Sansul’s achievement, the organizers, along with the military officials, presented him with a framed certificate, a gold medal, a commemorative shield, an ID card, and a file to honor his exceptional accomplishment. (Newswire)
