A 31-year-old man has died after being stabbed with a knife by a 19-year-old girl in the Weerasekera Gama area in Wellawaya.
The Police said the married man had been involved in a romantic relationship with the girl and was living together with her in a rented house in the area.
Preliminary investigations reveal that the woman had attacked the man after an argument had escalated last evening.
The victim, who is a resident of Nawalapitiya, had succumbed to injuries after being admitted to the Wellawaya Hospital.
The woman, who is a resident of Haldumulla, has been arrested by the Wellawaya Police over the murder. The Wellawaya Police are conducting further investigations. (Newswire)
