One person was killed and two others seriously injured in a stabbing incident near the railway crossing at Nadurana Junction within the Eheliyagoda Police Division on the night of May 30.
The victims, all three attacked with a sharp weapon, were initially admitted to the Eheliyagoda Hospital. One of them, a 22-year-old resident of Gatahatta, Iddamalgoda, succumbed to his injuries. The other two have been transferred to the Ratnapura Hospital for further treatment.
Eheliyagoda Police have launched an investigation based on a complaint received and are currently working to identify and apprehend the suspects involved. The body of the deceased has been placed at the Eheliyagoda Hospital morgue. (Newswire)
