A 22-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the murder of a 58-year-old woman in Weliweriya. The arrest follows an investigation by the Police into the incident, which occurred in September.
The suspect, identified as the second individual linked to the murder, had fled the area after the crime but was apprehended yesterday in the Balummahara area. During the arrest, police discovered 5 grams and 600 milligrams of crystal methamphetamine, known as ‘Ice,’ in her possession.
