During a special operation led by the Special Task Force (STF) on Friday (24), a 29-year-old suspect was arrested in the Wimalasiri De Mel Mawatha area in the Mount Lavinia Police division.
Acting on a tip-off, officers seized various illegal items, including:
• 3.349 kg of “ash” drugs
• 25 g of “kush” drugs
• 30 g of “mandy” drugs
• 320 narcotic tablets and 4,000 packing packets
• 129 liquor stamps, swords, an air pistol, and electric scales
• A car, mobile phone, and Rs. 1,250 in cash
The suspect, a Dehiwala resident, is identified as a drug distributor working under a detained drug dealer and is currently under further investigation by the Mount Lavinia Police. (NewsWire )
