The Department of Meteorology has issued an advisory for warm weather for the Eastern and North-central provinces and Vavuniya district, effective tomorrow.
Per the Amber Alert issued by the department, the Heat index, the temperature felt on the human body, is likely to increase up to ‘Caution level’ in six districts.
The department warns that fatigue is possible with prolonged exposure and activity in the sun, while continuing activity could result in heat cramps. (Newswire)
