A 43-year-old man from Jampettah Street, Colombo, was shot and killed at Benedict Mawatha in Kotahena today.
According to police, two unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle carried out the attack using T-56 assault rifles. The victim succumbed to his injuries upon admission to the hospital.
Four police teams have been deployed to track down the assailants as investigations continue.
