A 43-year-old man has died after being stabbed with a sharp weapon in the Katuneriya area, under the Marawila Police Division. The incident occurred on the evening of June 2 along St. Anthony’s Road, Katuneriya.
The victim, a resident of the area, succumbed to his injuries upon admission to the Marawila Hospital. Investigations revealed that the stabbing resulted from a personal dispute.
A 24-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident. The body has been placed at the Marawila Hospital morgue, and further investigations are being carried out by the Marawila Police. (Newswire)
