A 52-year-old man has been injured after being shot by an unknown gunman in the Maligawatte area last night.
The Police said the suspect, who had arrived on a motorcycle, had opened fire at the victim while the latter was waiting outside his residence and had fled the area.
The injured man, who is a resident of Maligawatte, had been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital following the incident.
The Maligawatte Police has launched investigations to apprehend the suspect. (Newswire)
