The Ministry of Defence has clarified recent reports regarding the discontinuation of the motivation incentive allowance for tri forces personnel assigned to VIP security details.
In a statement, the Ministry confirmed that the allowance has only been stopped for personnel previously assigned to the security of former VIPs. Since these individuals will no longer be engaged in such duties after 22 September 2024, their allowances were discontinued as of that date.
However, the allowance remains in place for personnel attached to the security details of the Chief of Defence Staff, tri forces commanders, and former Presidents. The Ministry emphasized that there has been no change to these payments. (NewsWire)
