Former Kandy District Member of Parliament and ex-Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella has announced a temporary break from active politics.
Speaking at a gathering in Kandy on Oct. 13, Rambukwella informed supporters of his decision while expressing confidence in his future return to politics. He said that despite stepping back, he remains politically active in spirit, emphasizing that public support for him has not waned.
Rambukwella added he is hopeful the courts will clear his name, allowing him to re-enter politics.
