A 53-year-old man was shot and killed by an unidentified gunman in the Ruwanwella area in Matara this evening, police confirmed.
The victim was traveling in a three-wheeler when he was shot by an individual who arrived in a car. A pistol is believed to have been used in the attack, according to the police spokesman’s office.
Investigations are underway as authorities seek to identify the shooter and determine the motive behind the killing.
