A 50-year-old man has been sentenced to death over the murder of a person in Imaduwa in February 2000.
The Police said the man was sentenced by the Galle High Court yesterday, after a long trial.
The man is accused of having illegally tapped into the electricity supply and having carefully planned to cause the victim to be electrocuted, resulting in his death.
The suspect sentenced to death is a 50-year-old resident of Imaduwa. (Newswire)
