Police are investigating the theft of Rs. 250,000 from the court productions room at the Wariyapola Magistrate’s Court, following a complaint filed by the court registrar.
The missing cash, related to several court cases, had been stored in three envelopes inside the court productions room. According to the complaint, the theft is believed to have occurred between July 7 and October 16.
The Wariyapola Police have launched an investigation into the incident. (Newswire)
