The Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) reports over three thousand driving licences have been temporarily cancelled by the courts so far this year.
DMT Commissioner General Nishantha Anuruddha Weerasinghe said a total of 3,249 licences have been temporarily suspended from January till now.
He further said that the driving licences were temporarily cancelled by the courts during trials held for various offences committed by the drivers. (Newswire)
