The National Peoples’ Power (NPP) has won four (04) seats in the Polonnaruwa District under the Preferential voting system.
The preferential votes for the Polonnaruwa District are as follows;
NPP – 4 seats
T. B. Sarath – 105,137 votes
Jagath Wickramarathne – 51,391 votes
Sunil Ratnasiri – 51,077 votes
Padmasiri Bandara – 45,096 votes
Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) – 1 seat
