A 37-year-old foreign tourist has been rescued from drowning in the seas off Polhena in Matara last afternoon.
The tourist had been rescued by two Police lifeguards who were on duty at the beach at the time of the incident.
The rescued tourist has been identified as a 37-year-old Russian national. (Newswire)
