The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) is set to launch its grassroots outreach program, “Namal Samaga Gamin Gamata,” today (01).
The initiative will begin with religious observances near the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya in Anuradhapura this morning, followed by the official inauguration. SLPP General Secretary, Attorney-at-Law Sagara Kariyawasam, stated that all arrangements have been made for the launch.
The first public event under this program is scheduled for 2 PM in Nochchiyagama, where discussions will be held on the current political situation, SLPP’s future plans, and government policies. The event will also focus on raising awareness about alleged oppressive measures taken by the government.
Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa is expected to attend the launch, with SLPP planning to extend the program to cover 14,000 villages, including those in the Northern and Eastern Provinces. (NewsWire)
