Justice Mohammed Laffar Tahir, the most senior judge currently serving in the Court of Appeal, has been appointed as the Acting President of the Court of Appeal.
Accordingly, Justice Mohammed Laffar Tahir took his oath today (02) before President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat.
The appointment follows the pre-retirement leave of Court of Appeal President Justice Bandula Karunarathna, which has been accepted by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
