Seven senior police officers, including five Senior Deputy Inspector Generals (SDIGs), have been transferred with effect from February 12.
Among them are STF Commandant Waruna Jayasundara and SDIG Ajith Rohana.
DIG D.G.S. De Silva has been appointed as the new Commandant of the Special Task Force (STF) from the same date.
The transfers were approved by the National Police Commission and come as part of routine administrative changes.
