Two brown bears, two hyenas and six meerkats have been brought to Sri Lanka today under an animal exchange programme with the United Arab Emirates.
The Department of National Zoological Gardens said that the hyenas were transported to the Ridigama Safari while the bears and meerkats were sent to the Dehiwala Zoo, where the animals will be quarantined for a month. (Newswire)
