The Ministry of Power has announced that a one-hour power cut will be implemented across Sri Lanka today (Feb 13).
According to the Ministry, the power cut will be imposed today between 05.00 pm and 09.30 pm.
Power cuts are being implemented after all three generators at the Norochcholai Power Plant went offline due to a sudden outage last Sunday.
This prompted the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) to impose one-and-a-half-hour power cuts across all regions on Monday and Tuesday this week in four groups within a six-hour window from 3:30 pm to 9:30 pm
