The Cabinet of Ministers has approved conducting an Economic Census in two stages, covering the years 2025 and 2026.
According to the government, the Department of Census and Statistics conducted its last Economic Census in 2013 and 2014.
As such, the department plans to conduct an economic census in 2025 and 2026 to update the data collected in the previous census, ensuring that agricultural and non-agricultural activities are addressed separately in two stages.
Accordingly, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development, to conduct the economic census in 2025 and 2026.
It has been proposed that the economic census for agricultural activities be conducted in 2025 and for non-agricultural activities in 2026. (Newswire)
