The Criminal Investigations Department has arrested a 29-year-old suspect for defrauding Rs. 3.79 million by selling a harvesting machine and failing to hand over the money.
The Police said the suspect, who is a resident of Galenbindunuwewa, was arrested yesterday, based on investigations launched into a complaint filed at the CID.
The suspect was presented before the Kekirawa Magistrate’s Court today. The CID is conducting further investigations. (Newswire)
