The Bribery Commission states that over 1250 complaints were received in the first three months of 2025.
The Bribery Commission had received 1,267 complaints between 01 and 31 January.
A total of 24 raids had been conducted across Sri Lanka, during which 20 suspects had been arrested.
The Bribery Commission says among the arrested suspects, six are Police officers, a school principal, a Labour officer, a field officer, and an officer of the Department of Immigration and Emigration.
In addition, a Public Health Inspector, a Development Officer, a Ministry of Justice employee, a Provincial Revenue Department Assessment Officer and 6 civilians are also among those arrested.
The Bribery Commission has revealed that 21 cases have been filed in courts against 24 accused so far this year. (Newswire)
