The Sri Lanka Air Force has confirmed that six personnel lost their lives after a Bell 212 helicopter crashed into the Maduru Oya Reservoir this morning during a demonstration for the Special Forces passing out parade.

A Bell 212 helicopter of No. 7 Sqn crashed into the Maduru Oya Reservoir during a demo for the SF passing out parade. The Commander of the Air Force has appointed a special nine-member committee to conduct a detailed investigation. Regrettably, six personnel lost their lives following the incident.
