Man’s “Private Bar” closed for business by Police

A 35-year-old resident of Nawanagaya, Galnewa, has been arrested for the illegal possession of large stocks of alcohol following a special Police operation.

According to the Galnewa Police, a raid was carried out in Galnewa town on Tuesday evening based on a tip-off.

Officers recovered 54 litres of unlicensed government-issued arrack and 33 litres of beer from the suspect’s possession.

The operation was conducted as part of a countrywide crackdown on crime and narcotics, initiated under the directives of the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP).
