The announcement, made under Section 04 of the Holidays Act No. 29 of 1971, was issued by Dr. A.H.M.H. Abayarathna, Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government. The gazette, numbered 2438/22, outlines all holidays applicable for 2026.
