Police say that a 42-year-old policeman died by suicide at the Karandugala Police Station in Moneragala earlier today (4th).
He is believed to have earlier shot dead a 54-year-old woman and her 17-year-old daughter at Nelliadda, Inginiyagala.
Additionally, the same policeman is suspected of killing a 33-year-old policeman at Namal Oya in Ampara.
Police are conducting investigations to determine the motive behind the killings and the suicide. (NewsWire)
