A cash deposit has been placed on behalf of former Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) Parliamentarian Siripala Amarasinghe to contest the 2024 Presidential Election.
The cash deposit was placed at the National Election Commission today for the former MP to contest the election as an independent candidate.
Siripala Amarasinghe is a former Member of Parliament from Gampaha District representing the JVP.
As of this evening, a total of 15 candidates are reported to have placed their cash deposits with the National Election Commission to contest the Presidential polls. (Newswire)
