Cabinet approval has been granted for Indonesia and Sri Lanka to sign the agreement on their Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) in March 2025.
The second trade discussion committee meeting in respect of the Indonesia-Sri Lanka Preferential Trade Agreement was conducted on 15 and 16 July 2024 in Colombo.
Accordingly, the Cabinet considered the matters presented by the President indicating that the discussions on the proposed Indonesia-Sri Lanka Preferential Trade Agreement be finalized in December 2024 and that both parties have agreed to sign the said agreement in March 2025. (Newswire)
