Cash deposits have been placed for a total of 27 candidates to contest the 2024 Presidential Elections.
According to the National Election Commission, bonds had been placed on behalf of three Presidential candidates today.
Two of the candidates who placed cash deposits today are from political parties, while one is an independent candidate.
Among the candidates nominated for the Presidential election thus far, 14 are from political parties, while 13 independent candidates have registered to contest the election.
The Presidential polls are scheduled for September 21, while nominations will be accepted on August 15.
The Election Commission reports a total of 17,140,354 voters are eligible to cast their ballots in the 2024 Presidential Elections. (Newswire)
