Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) presidential candidate Namal Rajapaksa met with Archbishop of Colombo Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith at the Archbishop’s official residence in Borella earlier today.
During the meeting with Rajapaksa, the Archbishop stressed on the need for an independent commission to investigate the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks.
Rajapaksa is reported to have agreed on the establishment of an independent judicial commission on the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks of 2019, which killed nearly 270 people. (Newswire)
