There is no need to panic and hoard fuel, in the event of an electoral win by Anura Kumara Dissanayake, NPP member Nalinda Jayatissa said.
Addressing claims surrounding their election campaign, the NPP member refuted such claims, stating that they were fear mongering efforts by parties who have already conceded defeat.
“There are rumours that there will be fuel, gas and coal shortages once Anura Kumara Dissanayake becomes president, or that there will be shortages in goods and services,” he said.
Guaranteeing that all essentials and services will be accessible to the public after the election, Jayatissa said that the NPP’s goal was to achieve a peaceful political transition.
“Do not hoard fuel. There is no need to create panic. In future, we will provide a more efficient and subsidised fuel supply,” he said. (Newswire)
