The Election Commission of Sri Lanka has issued strict guidelines for media coverage of the upcoming Presidential Election Results on September 21, 2024.
According to the Commission, only registered media outlets are permitted to broadcast or telecast live election results.
Unregistered media platforms, including online channels and social media, are prohibited from posting live results.
Media organisations are also ordered not to post any unofficial election results.
