The Department of Meteorology has issued an advisory for severe lightning in the Eastern, Uva, Central, North-Central, and Sabaragamuwa Provinces and the Kurunegala, Vavuniya, Mullaitivu and Kilinochchi Districts.
According to the department, the advisory is effective until 11.00 pm today (30 Apr).
The public has been advised to take precautions to minimise damage caused by lightning activity. (Newswire)
