National People’s Power (NPP) leader and presidential candidate Anura Kumara Dissanayake has fallen ill due to exhaustion from recent election activities, confirmed NPP General Secretary Tilvin Silva at a public gathering in Deyyandara today (07).
Following medical advice, Dissanayake was instructed to take a day of rest and will not attend the scheduled rally. Silva, attending in his place, assured supporters that Anura Kumara will hold a rally at the same location after becoming President. (Newswire)
