Australian Cricketer echoes UNICEF’s urgent plea for Gaza ceasefire

Australian cricketer Usman Khawaja has voiced strong support for UNICEF’s urgent call to end the violence in Gaza, highlighting the devastating toll on children in the conflict.

In a post shared on social media, Khawaja drew attention to UNICEF’s report that over 450 people, including at least 45 children, were killed in Gaza within just one week. He urged people to listen to one of the “most credible and reputable charities in the world,” stating, “The Palestinians are being slaughtered while being starved to death. No one deserves this. All lives are equal.”

UNICEF has called for an immediate ceasefire, stressing that every hour without one costs more lives. “Children in Gaza need access to aid. They need a ceasefire. NOW,” the agency said. (Newswire)
