A canal in the Badowita area turned blood red recently, prompting an investigation by the Central Environmental Authority (CEA).
According to Ada newspaper, the CEA’s Western Province Office conducted tests, revealing that a water-soluble dye caused the unusual discoloration.
According the news report, officials believe the dye was stored by a resident and accidentally washed into the canal during heavy rains. (Newswire)
