A pipeline connected to a concrete mixer burst during the construction of a four-story building at the Monaragala District General Hospital.
The accident caused concrete to fall onto the roof of Ward 15, breaking through the ceiling and injuring three mothers, five children, and a family health worker.
Monaragala Hospital Police are investigating the incident.
