The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has recovered a T56 firearm and magazine suspected to have been used in the recent double murder near the Devinuwara Temple in the Gandara police area.
The weapon was found on today (12) at a rented house in the Kekanadura area, following the arrest and interrogation of a suspect who is currently in CID custody under a detention order.
The investigation into the March 21 shooting is being carried out by the CID’s Homicide and Organized Crime Investigation Division, which is continuing efforts to apprehend other suspects involved. (NewsWire)
