The Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI) recorded a decrease in the overall inflation rate to (-0.8)% in October 2024, compared to (-0.5)% in September. Food inflation rose slightly to 1%, up from (-0.3)% in September, while non-food inflation decreased to (-1.6)% from (-0.5)% in the previous month, according to the Department of Census and Statistics.
