A gruesome double murder has been reported from Yaya 17 area in Nochchiyagama, where a father and son were killed with a sharp weapon.
Police have arrested two suspects in connection with the incident. During investigations, police sniffer dogs led officers from the crime scene directly to the suspects’ residence.
Preliminary investigations suggest the killings may have been an act of revenge over a previous murder, where the now-deceased father and son had reportedly killed the father of the arrested youths.
