Final day for Govt employees to cast postal votes

Government employees who were unable to cast their postal votes in the 2024 Presidential Election will have their last opportunity to do so today, as the National Election Commission has designated September 12 as the final day for postal voting.

If postal votes are not cast within the day, there will be no further opportunities for state sector employees to cast their votes, the Election Commission said.

Postal voters were urged to visit the district election office or the Divisional Secretariat where their workplace is located to cast their votes, as they will not be allowed to cast their votes on the day of the Presidential election, on September 21, the Commission said. (Newswire)
