The final rites of the late Arunayake of the Asgiri Chapter of the Siam Sect, Most Ven. Anamaduwe Sri Dhammadassi Thera will be held in Kandy on Thursday (24).
The final rites will be held at the Police Grounds in Asgiriya, Kandy, on Thursday evening.
The late Ven. Anamaduwe Sri Dhammadassi Thera will be laid to rest with state honours.
The senior monk passed away at the age of 67 while reportedly receiving treatment at a private hospital in Kandy, following a sudden illness.
The late Thera has served as the Chief Incumbent of the historic Athkanda Raja Maha Viharaya in Kurunegala and was a former professor at the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka. (Newswire)
