Sri Lanka’s foreign worker remittances in April 2025 amounted to USD 646.1 million, up from USD 543.8 million in April 2024, according to data released by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL).
Total remittances for the January to April 2025 period reached USD 2,460.5 million, compared to USD 2,079.9 million during the same period last year, reflecting an 18.3% year-on-year increase.
March 2025 also recorded a strong performance, with remittances amounting to USD 693.3 million.
