Former Minister Anura Priyadarshana Yapa has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for allegedly misappropriating Rs. 6.1 million allocated for flood relief in 2014.
The arrest was confirmed by the Police Media Spokesperson, with further investigations underway into the alleged misuse of funds intended for disaster relief efforts.
