An extraordinary gazette notification issued on Friday (Dec 20, 2024) has extended the compulsory retirement age for Government Medical Officers to 63 years.
According to the gazette, the extension applies to Medical Specialists, Grade Medical Officers, Dental Officers, Medical Administrative Grade Officers, Dental Specialists, and registered Medical Practitioners.
According to the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government, the revised retirement age took effect on January 1, 2023. (Newswire)
